«How can online archives be employed not only metaphorically and virtually, but also physically and in reality as walk-in and tangible spaces of knowledge? This question is taken up as part of the newly developed Mixed Reality Method for the penetration and over-layering of physical and electronic spaces. [...] With the performance-related installation «Murmuring Fields» we developed from 1998 to 2000 an acoustic space for the theater, and a mixed-reality audio archive. Spaces for data and action were combined using an invisible tracking procedure (video camera interface).
