«At the time when the vast majority of film-makers held electronics to be the work of the devil, defiling the holy water of cinematography, Rybczynski concentrated his artistic and technical energies entirely on working with the Japanese High Vison format and, in the second half of the 1980s, on making video clips: for John Lennon‘s ‹Imagine›; ‹Opportunities› by the Pet Shop Boys; ‹All the Things She Said› by Simple Minds, and Herb Alpert‘s ‹Keep Your Eye on Me›. They represent electronic prototypes of the genre, and their powerfully innovative role has only been recognized recently in Europe, at the beginning of the new century.»
