«Imaginary Water Sculpture»

The action you see here is not the art-work itself, but the preparation for the art-work, the sketch. While in natural surroundings the movement of water has vanished in time, television technology allows it to be held fast in space. The volume that water has attained in the air, and which I trace here, results in an imaginary water sculpture that is visible and notable only on a TV screen. The TV set as space/time switch.
