«The Kingdom of Heaven»
The photo-series ‘The Kingdom of Heaven’ is on the one hand exemplary for the photographic studies that emphasize the body in the context of Pezold’s aesthetic of abstracting the individual physique. At the same time, the series is expressive of the artist’s poetic imagination, since – as the title suggests – the surface of the body is shown as an astronomical chart by means of birthmarks and blotches.
