Verena Kuni
Born 1966; Assistant Professor at the Institute for Media Sciences (ifm) at the University of Basel (CH); 1996-2004 teaching positions at the University Mainz (Art Theory), Trier (Art History) and at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, Frankfurt (Interdisziplinary Gender Studies); since 1997 lecturer at various universities and art academies in Germany and abroad; since 1989 critical contributions to various (art) magazines; 1995–1999 video curator of the Dokumentarfilm & Videofest Kassel and since 1999 chair of the interfiction-conference for electronic art & media culture; since 1997 own radio broadcast on RadioX/Ffm; since 2001 project «gender/medien/kunst» at the Academy of Design Offenbach; publications on contemporary art, electronic media and gender studies: «netz.kunst» 1999 and «urtux. Kunst als Utopie» 2002 (both with Institut für Moderne Kunst Nürnberg), «alo est vera. gender/medien/kunst» (with Eva Huber), 2004; lives and works in Frankfurt/Main and Basel (CH).
