Heinz Mack
born 1931 in Lollar (D); 1953-56 studies in philosophy at the university of Cologne; 1956–58 meets George Mathieu, Jean Tinguely and Yves Klein; develops his «dynamic structures» in painting and then in drawing; 1957 founding member of the group ZERO with Otto Piene in Düsseldorf; 1968 member of the Akademie der Künste, Berlin; his work is a major influence for constructivist art; lives and works in Mönchengladbach (D).
