* 1957 in Hamburg (D); studied painting and graphic design at the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts with Sigmar Polke where he develops an interest in photo, film and video. After installation and performance projects he approaches the career of a director and is one of the founders of the video magazine Infermental (together with Gábor Bódy). In 1986 first feature-length film production. Since then he has worked for television and cinema as a film director.
