Jake and Dinos Chapman
Jake (b.1966, Cheltenham) and Dinos (b.1962, London) Chapman announced their intention to work together in November 1992 with their anti-aesthetic manifesto, «We Are Artists», stencilled on a brown paint smeared wall at the ICA. They had already attended the Royal College of Art together (1988-90) and had worked as assistants to Gilbert and George.
The Chapman Brothers belong to the so-called Young British artists and have been working with mannequins of plastics since 1993.
